MAIN PURPOSE: Ensure proper receipt and dispatch of all materials and maintain efficient Inventory control

EXPERIENCE:

- At least 5 years’ experience in the oil and gas or industrial industry.

- Lifting & Hoisting experience required.

- Offshore experience required.

- General knowledge of API, ASME, OSHA, and other industry standards.

- Communication skills – written, verbal and listening

- PC skills (knowledge of Microsoft work/excel products)

- Ability to work with deadlines, prioritize and multi-task.

- Self-starter with the ability to analyze problems and make decisions.

- Offshore, US, and international travel required

- Understand and participate in team approach.

- Candidates must currently have or be willing to promptly obtain a US passport for international travel.

- Bilingual a plus.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:

- The main purpose of the Training Instructor/Assessor is to deliver training or assessment packages in an enthusiastic and engaging manner to encourage learning.

- Welcome clients, provide detailed induction with particular emphasis on safety awareness. Discuss aims and objectives of the program they will be following with an overview of practical and theoretical sessions. Ensure participants are happy with the process and that they are fully familiarized with the evaluation or assessment process and outcome feedback, including their right to appeal.

- Ensure that assessments are carried out in accordance with the Company Quality Assurance and Awarding Body criteria.

- Ensure that robust feedback is provided to candidates on completion of the assessment process and that they are fully aware of the outcome and/or any remedial training requirements

- Participate in team and standardization meetings, leading the discussion and defining actions when requested.

- Assist in course research and development when assigned.

- Take a pro-active approach to highlighting new legislation or best practice updates to course material.

- Ensure you are supportive of Sparrows Training and share information with the instructor/assessor team.

- Be prepared to undergo further development to become a Qualified Assessor or Internal Verifier, this will require periods of self-study.

- Be prepared to travel to any overseas location deemed safe by the Company (following the advice offered by the appropriate government agency).

- Ensure that the standards of delivery expected within the Training Center are replicated at any offshore or overseas location and that clients are kept fully apprised of the outcome of training and or assessment programs.

- As first point of contact on offshore/overseas assignments promote to client, all services available through the Sparrows Group.

- Deliver training courses in accordance with the pre-determined syllabus for the course allocated, taking account of the requirements of all applicable legislation, the Company’s HSEQ Management System and any specific client guidelines.

- Directly observe delegates throughout practical training sessions ensuring all exercises are conducted in a safe and professional manner. Proper paperwork must be completed for each practical exercise.

- Assist in maintenance of equipment and facilities.

- Monitor emails and calls daily for possible schedule changes.
