Our company is creating a list of independent contractors who wish to be added to our on-call storm response team. Individuals on the team will be called out to assist in our utility storm response efforts and will be acting as independent contractors (1099, non W-2, very limited hours). When callout is announced, you can accept or reject at will. Your responsibilities during storm events include assessment of wire down areas, reporting through Microsoft Teams and text chatbot, communication with public, assisting in making the area safe.
Great for people with flexible schedules who are able to attend training and pass a competency exam. People with flexible schedules can include retirees, college students, teachers, fire fighters, law enforcement, part-time workers.Minimum Qualifications:
This role is dependent on many factors, including our company’s role in assisting utilities in responding to storms. We offer no guarantee that individuals chosen for this role will ever be called to mobilize on our behalf.
