Field Technician, Dos Picos Midstream

The Field Technician, Dos Picos Midstream is responsible for operational, mechanical and instrument/electrical functions; such as inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations.

The Field Technician will be based out of the Dos Picos plant (about 19 miles east of downtown Midland, TX).

Responsibilities May Include:

Conducts routine inspection of equipment and facilities (equipment health, security, AVO Audio, Visual,

Olfactory), operation of liquid handling systems, and operation of dehydration systems.

Conducts pipeline pigging, hydrate management, etc.

Responsible for Startup, Shutdown, and operating gas compression equipment.

Maintains pipeline ROW such as markers, signs, and vegetation, exposures.

Performs maintenance and repair of pumps and associated components, such as amine, glycol, condensate, NGL, etc.

Performs maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment such as block valves, control valves, air compressors, manual valve actuators, etc.

Performs maintenance and repair of and fixed equipment such as filters (all types), strainers, dehydration systems, etc.

Conducts routine inspection, calibration and repair of end devices such as transmitters, switches, fire eyes, hazardous gas detection, level detection, loop tuning, etc.

Conducts routine inspection, calibration and repair of meter and associated equipment (meter tube/plates, ultrasonic meter, flow computer).

Conducts routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of communications equipment, and sampling system.

Responsible for conducting the product composition, quality sampling and testing process according to company standard.

Performs Startup, Shutdown, and operation of a variety of gas plant equipment including: Gas compression, Liquid handling systems, dehydration systems and treatment systems.

Maintain PLC, HMI equipment, software, pipeline valves and actuators.

Maintain and repair motor control equipment.

Maintenance and repair of prime mover and pumps.

Required Qualifications:

Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

High School Diploma or GED

1 or more years of oil and gas operations experience

Valid driver’s license

Willing and able to perform/comply with the following, with or without reasonable accommodations:

Lift up to 50 pounds

Exert pulling force of up to 130 pounds

Climb various ladders and stairs up to 50 feet to operate valves, gauge tanks, or perform maintenance on equipment

Regularly stoop, squat, kneel and crouch for durations up to 30 minutes

Periodically pull/push doors open to move around throughout the field

Respond to emergency calls as needed

Travel 75% of the time, within a 45 mile range of reporting location

Work overtime on an as-needed basis (which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays)

Work in outside conditions (i.e. gas compression sites) that include inclement weather, heat and humidity

Works safely near large, hot, high-speed machines

Work in loud environment

Wear personal protective equipment (such as fire-retardant clothing, steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection)

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of Tech school program

5 or more years of experience in oil and gas operations

3 or more years of work experience in mechanical maintenance, instrumentation and electrical maintenance, or measurement

Midstream:
