SALARY: 60k – 75k FSLA: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Zupt is an international B2B service and technology development company, based in Northwest Houston, Texas, specializing in the integration and application of unique technologies into the offshore Oil & Gas and Renewables industry.
This position is specifically for offshore marine construction survey operations (International including Europe, South America, West Africa, etc.). This full-time position will be split between working onshore (in the office in Houston) and offshore work, where you will be working on fixed structures (rigs) or floating vessels travelling for potentially an extended period of time away from home (a maximum of 30 days in one trip).
· Prepare task plans and job documents for upcoming offshore work
· Baseline testing of C-PINS and onshore support Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
· Work with Party Chief and management to execute all contractual obligations and activities set forth with the customers daily, which can include any portion of the electrical, mechanical or equipment
· Perform repairs or replacements of mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical components to correct malfunctions.
· Lead and/or assist with other daily work activities, related to all areas of site operations, as directed by the manager, with minimal supervision.
· Coordinate with engineering support team when in need of additional troubleshooting/ diagnostic assistance.
· Complete and maintain the required company and client documentation and records, using computer-based service reporting tools and procedures.
· Clean and organize tools, equipment, and work area including sweeping, mopping, wiping oil, grease, solvent spills.
· Perform Torqueing/tensioning of multiple bolted connections in compliance with installation manuals and bolt torque specifications.
· Test electrical components and systems, as well as mechanical and hydraulic systems.
· Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, assembly/disassembly, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Must have a team-driven attitude and professional customer service skills.
· Ability to use technology apps and devices.
· Basic electrical skills - use a multi meter, solder, basic cable termination, insultation testing, etc
· Familiar with hand tools, mechanical systems assembly, understand torque settings for bolts, the application of lubricant or grease,
· Ability to write concise, informative reports
· Candidates must be physically fit and be passed by a medical doctor
· Customer mandates random drug testing for this position and as part of the employment process
· Must be eligible to obtain a passport
