Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Storekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, and supporting the overall supply chain process. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to analyze data, and experience with warehouse management systems. The Storekeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of stock levels, negotiating with suppliers, and implementing effective category management strategies.

Responsibilities

•

Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock movements and conducting regular audits.

•

Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory and optimize storage solutions.

•

Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing for goods and services.

•

Analyze data related to inventory turnover, profit loss, and sourcing strategies to improve operational efficiency.

•

Coordinate transportation management activities to ensure timely delivery of products.

•

Implement category management practices to enhance product assortment and availability.

•

Collaborate with distribution center staff to streamline processes and improve overall performance.

•

Maintain a clean and organized storage area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

•

Proven experience in warehouse management or storekeeping roles is preferred.

•

Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret inventory reports and trends.

•

Familiarity with AS400 or similar inventory management software is a plus.

•

Excellent negotiation skills to effectively communicate with suppliers and vendors.

•

Knowledge of transportation management principles is beneficial.

•

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

•

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
