Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Non Ferrous Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and verifying non-ferrous metal materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications. The Non Ferrous Inspector will be reporting directly to the Non Ferrous Manager. Responsible for inspecting material that comes into and out of the yard. Perform quality control checks. Work with the personnel in the yard and along with the buyers inside of Non Ferrous to ensure proper materials are maintained and shipped out.
- Sorting shredded copper
- Loading trucks
- Inspecting material
- Quality control checks of material shipping out
- Knowledge of the materials in Non Ferrous
- Proper inventory checks
- Stacking wheels as needed
- Working with the wood inspector
- Maintain a clean yard and workplace
- Keep scale clean and functioning
- Follow a ship sheet
- Follow up on production
- Proper tagging
- Know commodity codes
- Strong conflict resolution experience
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- 1-2 years of experience working with Non Ferrous material
- Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred
- Microsoft Suite; Word, Excel
- Quality control and Logistics experience preferred
- High School degree or equivalent
