Piping Technology & Products, Inc. A detail-oriented and experienced Night Shift Quality Inspector to ensure that fabricated components and assemblies meet company and customer quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding inspection, and blueprint reading. This role is critical to maintaining product integrity and compliance during night shift operations.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct in-process and final inspections of fabricated parts, welds, and assemblies to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Verify measurements using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Perform visual weld inspections and ensure adherence to welding procedures and codes (AWS, ASME, etc.).
• Document inspection results, non-conformances, and generate reports as needed.
• Work closely with production teams to address quality concerns and provide feedback on corrective actions.
• Ensure proper handling and identification of non-conforming materials.
• Assist in maintaining and updating quality documentation, including inspection checklists and records.
• Support audits and compliance checks related to quality standards and shop procedures.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in quality inspection, preferably in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with welding symbols, blueprints, GD&T, and industry standards (AWS, ASME, ISO, etc.).
• Skills: Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection tools.
• Certifications (Preferred): AWS CWI, ASNT NDT Level I/II, or other relevant certifications.
• Other: Ability to work independently on night shifts with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· The working environment is 5-10% in an office setting and 90-95% in a manufacturing environment that includes exposure to industrial equipment.
· Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.
