Quality Control Inspector-1st Shift

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 3 year experience working in manufacturing environment; Experience using measuring equipment; Prior experience in Quality Control and familiarity with ISO or TS standards preferred but not necessary; Ability to follow instructions.

Description of Duties:

Performs in-process inspections and visual inspections; Records inspection findings on the SPC System; Reviews Quality Control Worksheets to ensure that all data is being recorded properly; Takes necessary actions to stop production should parameters of process, visual defects or nonconforming product be identified; GD&T Preferred ; Participates in internal sorts of nonconforming product; Ensures that the “First-In, First-Out” (FIFO) concept is being used by all departments for inventory rotation; May perform some duties outside these listed depending upon special situation or workload. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. and stand for long periods of time. Other duties as assigned.

Summary

As a Quality Control Inspector on the 1st Shift, you will be integral to maintaining high manufacturing standards and ensuring product quality through rigorous quality audits and inspections. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you will utilize your core skills in quality management and analysis to uphold compliance with IATF 16949. Your expertise in precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers, will support effective quality control processes.
