As a Network Maintenance Engineer, you will be hands-on, technically proficient, and capable of leading initiatives from concept to completion while ensuring accountability and timely delivery.
· Architect, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/SD-WAN).
· Perform hands-on technical work, including racking, cabling, hardware installation, and physical troubleshooting.
· Climb ladders, lift equipment, and work in data center or facility environments.
· Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects, including planning, execution, and stakeholder communication.
· Coordinate with third-party vendors, ensuring deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.
· Hold vendors and contractors accountable for scope, timelines, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
· Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, ensuring completion through proactive follow-up and escalation when necessary.
· Create and deliver monthly project-level reporting to management, highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
· Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and infrastructure issues.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity, systems engineering, and facilities.
· Maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, standards, and operational procedures.
· Monitor network performance and implement enhancements for scalability and reliability.
· Ensure compliance with security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field with 8-10 years’ progressive experience in IT networking or facility operations with increasing responsibility.
· Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, and Palo Alto Networks knowledge.
· TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, STP, HSRP, and VRRP experience.
· VLANs, VTP, EtherChannel, QoS, NAT, and PAT experience.
· SD-WAN, WAN optimization, VPN (IPSec, SSL), and DMVPN experience.
· Firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, 802.1X, RADIUS, and TACACS+ experience.
· Zero Trust Architecture, NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS experience.
· Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) integration experience.
· AWS, Azure, GCP networking and hybrid cloud connectivity experience.
· Virtual networking experience (NSX, Azure Virtual Network, AWS VPC).
· Load balancers experience (F5, Citrix ADC, HAProxy).
· Python, Ansible, Terraform, and REST APIs experience.
· DNS, DHCP, NTP, SNMP, and syslog experience.
· Cisco DNA Center, Meraki Dashboard, and Prime Infrastructure experience.
· Scripting experience and automation for routine tasks and reporting.
· AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate.
· Strong organizational and leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional IT projects.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
· Highly self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
· Takes ownership of outcomes, escalates blockers appropriately, and ensures timely delivery.
· Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across departments.
· Comfortable working independently in fast-paced, evolving environments.
