About This Job
Job Summary:
We’re seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure. This is a contract role with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, or similar)
•
Support DNS/DHCP systems (e.g., Infoblox) and AAA systems (e.g., Cisco ISE)
•
Monitor and optimize network performance using tools like Wireshark, PRTG
•
Assist with LAN/WAN, VLANs, subnetting, and wireless technologies
•
Ensure network security (VPNs, firewalls, access controls)
•
Collaborate with IT teams and document configurations
Requirements:
•
3+ years of network support experience in an enterprise environment
•
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and subnetting
•
Experience with Windows and Linux in networked environments
•
Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) is a plus
•
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Schedule: Hybrid (mostly remote, occasional office visits)
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Richmond, VA 23220
