JOB SUMMARY:

BrightRidge Broadband

is seeking a motivated

Network Engineer

to join our growing team. In this role,

you will play a crucial role in the design, configuration, customer support, and maintenance of our fiber-optic, data, and telephony networks that powers our industry leading Broadband services. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to maintaining reliable, high-speed broadband service across the region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•

Support Voice and Data network operations

•

Install, configure, and maintain FTTx PON, Layer-2 switching, and Layer-3 routing

•

Maintain Linux/Windows servers in a virtualized environment

•

Troubleshoot network issues identified via alarm monitoring or esalations

•

Troubleshoot escalated field tech issues during customer installations

•

Troubleshoot escalated customer issues. Perform onsite troubleshooting as needed

•

Collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal teams on trouble and new deployments/processes.

•

Document network configurations, process changes, and maintain system records

•

Assist with equipment upgrades and field coordination

•

Required participation in on-call rotation with compensation. Some after-hours maintenance/upgrade work will be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•

Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics Engineering, or related field (Bachelor's a plus)

•

1+ year experience in voice/data communications or network support (ISP Experience preferred)

•

Strong knowledge of OSI networking layers, Ethernet, LAN/WAN, and VoIP

•

Familiarity with Calix PON, Juniper switches/routers preferred

•

Must live within a 40-mile radius of BrightRidge campus in Johnson City, TN or be willing to relocate

•

Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, and the ability to interact clearly with clients and colleagues are essential
