The work location is in Nunavik and the normal work schedule is 11 hours per day on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.

Departure on Monday from Montreal or Val d’or.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Utility’s Supervisor, the Electromechanic will have the following main responsibilities:

- Diagnose issues to determine their origin, perform necessary repairs, and restore functionality.

- Conduct preventive maintenance on ventilation, heating, refrigeration systems, automatic doors, as well as overhead cranes and the fire alarm system.

- Perform repair work on oil furnaces and various pumps.

- Maintain speed regulators and monitor pumping systems.

- Carry out any other electromechanical tasks deemed necessary by the supervisor.

Qualifications

- Vocational diploma (DEP) in automated systems and/or DEP in industrial mechanics, specializing in construction and maintenance, or a related field considered relevant.

- Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience within an industrial company.

- Good knowledge in building mechanics: ventilation systems, air conditioning.

- Relevant experience and knowledge in fire systems.

- Ability to diagnose problems with a variety of equipment.

- Aptitude to interpret equipment plans and specifications.

- Experience in piping, electricity, electronics, and air conditioning are assets.

- Possession of electrical license C.

- Possession of a refrigeration license will be considered an asset.

- Valid Class 5 driver's license required.

- Due to frequent interactions with French-speaking team members, bilingualism (French / English) is an asset to facilitate and enhance our internal communications.
