Position Summary:
The Production Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the manufacturing plant by ensuring efficient production scheduling, resource allocation, and communication between departments. This role plays a key part in maintaining production timelines, quality standards, and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
•Coordinate and schedule production activities to meet deadlines and customer demands.
•Monitor production progress and address any delays or issues that arise.
•Assist in managing inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to ensure smooth production flow.
•Work closely with department supervisors and team members to optimize resource utilization.
•Communicate production plans and updates to relevant stakeholders.
•Track and report key production metrics, including efficiency, waste, and downtime.
•Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
•Assist in troubleshooting production problems and recommend process improvements.
•Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
•Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production schedules, materials, and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications & Skills:
•Bachelor's degree in business, manufacturing, engineering, or a related field (preferred) or relevant work experience.
•2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
•Strong organizational and time management skills.
•Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
•Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and production planning software.
•Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
