Come grow with us! H&K Perforating is seeking a results-driven Plant Manager to lead and manage the daily operations of our Chicago perforating manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing production processes, ensuring high-quality output, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. This role focuses on achieving production goals, maintaining operational efficiency, and driving innovation within the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
•Oversee daily operations of the perforating manufacturing plant, including production scheduling, quality control, and maintenance.
•Drive continuous improvement initiatives in production efficiency, product quality, and cost reduction using lean manufacturing principles.
•Develop and implement strategies to meet production targets, improve process flow, and ensure on-time delivery to customers.
•Manage and mentor plant employees, providing leadership and fostering a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, and teamwork.
•Collaborate with engineering, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure the production of high-quality perforated products that meet customer specifications.
•Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and promote a strong safety culture throughout the plant.
•Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
•Maintain plant budget, control operational costs, and ensure financial targets are met.
•Manage raw material inventory, vendor relationships, and supply chain processes to ensure seamless production flow.
•Drive employee engagement and development, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
•Proven experience as a Plant Manager or similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in perforating, metalworking, or a related industry.
•In-depth knowledge of perforating equipment, processes, and industry standards.
•Strong understanding of production planning, process optimization, and quality assurance.
•Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
•Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
•Experience managing budgets, cost controls, and financial performance metrics.
•Proficiency in manufacturing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Experience:
•Experience in perforating or metal fabrication industries.
•Familiarity with ISO standards and other industry certifications.
•Experience managing safety programs and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment.
