Job Description: We are seeking a proactive Logistics Supervisor to join our team. The Logistics Supervisor will collaborate closely with Project Managers and the Plant Manager to meet deliverables and ensure efficient operations within our logistics department.
Key Responsibilities:
•Staging and Auditing: Oversee the staging of outgoing products and audit incoming materials to ensure accuracy and quality.
•Inventory Management: Conduct daily inventory cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels and identify discrepancies.
•Material Transportation: Facilitate the transportation of materials between buildings, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
•Equipment Inspection: Maintain accurate inspection logs for company vehicles and forklifts, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
•Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a small team of logistics personnel, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
•Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline logistics processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
•Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies and government regulations.
•Reporting: Prepare and present reports on logistics operations, including metrics on performance and areas for improvement.
•Vendor Coordination: Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders to coordinate shipments and resolve any issues.
•Safety Enforcement: Implement and monitor safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Qualifications:
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
•Proficient forklift operating skills
•Proactive work ethic with excellent problem-solving abilities.
•Proficiency in inventory management systems (ERP /MRP Software)
•Excellent communication and organizational skills.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
