Warrior Met Coal Inc. is a U.S.-based, environmentally and socially conscious supplier to the global steel industry. Focused on mining non-thermal metallurgical (met) coal, Warrior provides a critical component for steel production to metal manufacturers in Europe, South America, and Asia. Operating highly efficient longwall operations in their underground mines in Alabama, Warrior is a large-scale, low-cost producer and exporter of premium hard coking coal (HCC). Known for its low sulfur content and strong coking properties, Warrior’s HCC is of a similar premium quality to that produced in Australia, making it an ideal base feed for steel makers.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Brookwood, AL for a Miner at Warrior Met Coal Inc. The Miner will be responsible for various tasks associated with the excavation and extraction of coal, including operation and maintenance of mining equipment, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, monitoring of mining processes, and collaborating with team members to meet production goals. The role requires the ability to work in underground conditions and handle physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

- Experience with operating and maintaining mining equipment

- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements in mining

- Ability to monitor mining processes and identify areas for improvements

- Strong teamwork and communication skills

- Physical stamina and the ability to work in underground and physically demanding conditions

- Previous experience in the coal mining industry is a plus

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in mining is beneficial
