You will be reporting to Superintendent, and you will be part of the Maintenance Department. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Completed & ongoing competence with required core modules:
- Oxy Acetylene Cutting, Track installation and Maintenance, Pipe installation and Maintenance, plus 3 other competencies. Modules. Per the KLG Underground Mining Classification Guideline.
- Competently perform all Mining 2, 3 & 4 functions (Services & Construction)
- Demonstrate competence in relevant UG Hardrock common core,
- Housekeeping – keep work areas clean free from hazards
- Communication – listen to and communicate with others, keep accurate records on 5-point card, aligning with daily tasks
- Teamwork – work with others to meet and where possible exceed daily KPI’s set by Supervisor
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Miner 2 or equivalent (>4 years UG)
- Physically Fit, self starter with can do attitude
- Tolerance for hot / cold and humid environment
- Demonstrated Safety awareness
- Literacy and Numeracy to minimum year 10
- Schedule: 7 days of work, followed by 7 days off, at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
