Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Microgrid Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is responsible for the design, testing, commissioning, and support of ELM Microgrid’s BESS product lines. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of electrical power systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Salary:
$75,000-$100,000

Responsibilities:

•

Design microgrid system architectures and select compatible hardware components

•

Create and interpret single-line and three-line electrical diagrams

•

Support testing, commissioning, and installation of BESS systems

•

Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and other applicable standards

•

Provide technical support for deployed systems, including lifetime services

•

Work with teams on software integration, communication architecture, and backend web monitoring

•

Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure product performance and reliability

•

Conduct general sizing of electrical hardware and wiring per code

•

Travel up to 20% to customer sites or project locations

Qualifications

•

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or systems engineering

•

2–5 years of relevant engineering experience

•

Knowledge of power distribution (low & medium voltage), transformers, switchgear, and system grounding

•

Proficiency with AutoCAD

•

Experience with SKM, ETAP, or Easy Power is a plus

•

Familiarity with NEC and IEEE standards

•

Effective oral and written communication skills

•

Ability to self-direct and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
