The Opportunity:
Exciting Opportunity for Growth and Impact: Maintenance Mechanical Assistant
Are you a dynamic, competitive individual ready to make a significant impact? Join our team as a full-time Maintenance Mechanical Assistant and play a supporting role in the growth of Actlabs in the mineral exploration industry.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:
•Assist mechanical staff in the replacement and repair of worn and defective parts on equipment.
•Disassemble and reassemble mechanical components.
•Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, including but not limited to lubrication, replacing belts, filters etc.
•Use ticketing system to manage equipment maintenance requests, follow-up and update status of service.
•Other tasks as necessary and appropriate as determined by Senior Mechanic/Maintenance manager.
•Perform maintenance service including replacing air filters, light bulbs, etc.
•Perform general repairs in all maintenance and related disciplines including minor plumbing, HVAC and light electrical
•Perform repairs on crushing equipment
•Identify and report the need for major repairs
•Troubleshoot general problems, repair and replace general hardware
Minimum Requirements
•Proven experience as a handyperson/maintenance
•Basic understanding of plumbing and HVAC systems
•Excellent ability to use and experience with common hand and power tools
•Gas fitter license preferred but not necessary
•Experience in troubleshooting and repairing crushing equipment
•Ability to resolve problems and adhere to health and safety guidelines
•Ability to work independently and lift up to 50 pounds
