We’re growing our design team and are seeking a detail-driven Mechanical Engineering Technologist with strong CAD expertise to join us.

Key Responsibilities:

- Utilize SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Inventor to develop precise 3D models and technical drawings for fabrication.

- Generate accurate NC1 and DXF files for production, ensuring seamless integration with manufacturing processes.

- Read and interpret shop drawings, engineering specifications, and customer requirements to produce high-quality designs.

- Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and shop personnel to ensure designs meet project needs.

- Utilize Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, to support drafting activities and project documentation.

- Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all drawings.

- Manage multiple projects effectively, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Inventor is essential.

- Experience with nesting software is considered an asset.

- Strong understanding of structural and mechanical design principles related to steel fabrication.

- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical specifications accurately.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

- Highly organized with excellent time management skills to prioritize workload effectively.

- High attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.

- Must have dependable transportation.
