- Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

- At least 5 years of directly related experience

- Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.

- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships, work collaboratively within a team environment.

- Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.

- Displays leadership characteristics.

- Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills

- Experience with Stress and Fatigue Analysis of Components using ANSYS, LS-DYNA

- Required to have Professional Engineer's License

- Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, and nuclear industry experience

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

As a Mechanical Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Product & Engineering Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Component Analysis Engineering performs analysis and evaluation to ensure that component design and/or repair meet the requirements of AMSE Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code for stress and fatigue. These analyses and evaluations can be hand calculations, when applicable, or detailed finite element analysis, when necessary. This position requires occasional travel. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $97,000 - $131,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
