Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and manufacturing principles and be adept at utilizing advanced engineering tools and software.

The ideal candidate MUST have strong experience with metal fabrications and weldments, as well as manufacturing engineering. This is NOT an entry level position. The ideal candidate will already possess the necessary skills and knowledge to add value immediately.

Responsibilities

- Work directly with customers to provide design recommendations to enhance manufacturability and cost effectiveness.

- Work very closely with the manufacturing team to provide the necessary information to fabricate and manufacture the intended component / product with optimal safety and efficiency.

- Design and develop mechanical systems and components using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Fusion.

- Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot engineering problems and implement effective solutions.

- Create detailed schematics and drafting documentation in accordance with applicable codes & standards.

- Collaborate on project scheduling to ensure timely completion of engineering tasks.

- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) to validate designs under various conditions.

- Engage in manufacturing processes, including CNC machining and assembly of prototypes.

- Ensure mechanical knowledge is applied effectively throughout the design lifecycle.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred but not required.

- A minimum of 5-years of experience working in engineering in a manufacturing environment.

- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks) is required.

- Experience with root cause analysis techniques and project scheduling methodologies is advantageous.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform mechanical design calculations.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
