SUMMARY
This position is for an entry level mechanical engineer for gas pressure regulators including design engineering to application engineering. Provides sound engineering analysis and methods while supporting R&D as well as production.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Support the design, integration, prototyping, and testing of gas pressure regulators equipment.
•Requires a “hands-on” individual that is familiar with mechanical systems.
•Must have excellent root-cause analysis and troubleshooting skills to support and resolve assembly/build/design/functionality issues.
•Review, and execute product design and changes.
•Plan and execute work with limited supervision, placing priority on current sales order, R&D, and manufacturing needs.
•Work with management, Operations, Sales, and Marketing.
•Provide technical support to Sales, Marketing, and Operations regarding new valves and repairs.
•Follow standards and procedures for engineering and technical work.
•Identify, formulate and solve engineering problems.
•Prepare engineering drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), plans and specifications.
•Provide miscellaneous engineering solutions or reference documents.
•Write procedures to test products, perform test and report test results.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Work Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required
Preferred Qualifications:
•Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
•Knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering project management
•Skilled in operating and utilizing of computer assisted design (CAD) and other software applications
•Skilled in reading, interpreting and evaluating technical drawings and schematics
•Skilled in preparing and checking engineering designs
•Skilled in identifying, formulating and solving engineering problems
•Adaptability with new tools of designing, planning, scheduling of engineering projects

•Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
•Design - Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings, and CAD models.
•Mathematics - Knowledge of relevant mathematics and their applications.
•Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
•Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
