Description
United is seeking a mechanical engineer to join our team and assist in the design, analysis, testing, implementation, and maintenance of the various custom products and equipment utilized in our pipeline liner systems.
Requirements for the role:
•Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with strong mechanical aptitude.
•Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical principles, design processes, and systems.
•Proficiency in 3-D CAD software such as SolidWorks, SolidEdge, or Inventor.
•Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
•Ability to draft manufacturing drawings.
•Basic experience with computational and experimental analysis methods (FEA etc.).
•Ability to apply engineering principles to solve complex problems.
•Good project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
•Ability to work effectively in both independent and team settings.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
•Proficiency in MS Office software.
•3+ years work experience in a mechanical engineering environment.
•Some travel is required; possibly international.
Preferred skills and experience:
•Familiarity with oilfield construction and equipment.
•Familiarity with pipe and piping design.
•Knowledge of hydraulic equipment and machine design.
•Experience working with thermoplastic materials.
Location:
Will work directly out of our home base office in Durango, Colorado and is an in person position. Applicable relocation package is available.
