Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineering Manager to lead and manage M&E engineering efforts for high-tech construction projects in the U.S., with a focus on cleanroom environments. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of U.S. permitting, code compliance, and construction approval processes, as well as proven experience in project execution, design coordination, and progress tracking. Familiarity with modular cleanroom design and installation is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead and coordinate M&E engineering activities across all phases of the project life cycle, from design to commissioning.
•Oversee and manage compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local regulations related to permits, code compliance, and construction inspections.
•Liaise with local authorities, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely approvals and inspections.
•Manage engineering timelines and deliverables to ensure alignment with the overall project schedule.
•Review and validate engineering designs, shop drawings, and specifications for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
•Provide technical oversight during the procurement, fabrication, and installation of cleanroom systems.
•Coordinate with design teams on modular cleanroom layouts, utility routing, HVAC, and process systems to ensure efficient integration and constructability.
•Implement best practices in construction quality, safety, and M&E risk control.
•Support value engineering and cost control initiatives throughout the project.
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; PE license preferred.
•Minimum 8 years of relevant M&E project experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
•Strong knowledge of U.S. building codes, permitting procedures, and construction project delivery methods.
•Hands-on experience with modular cleanroom systems and controlled environment design preferred.
•Excellent project management, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination skills.
•Familiarity with BIM, AutoCAD, and project scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6 or MS Project).
•Strong communication and leadership abilities.
•Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
