Summary

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Designer to join our team at New Tech Metals. In this role, you will be responsible for designing innovative mechanical systems and components that meet our clients' needs. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering top-notch metal services.

Responsibilities

•

Prepare diagrams and drafts for manufacturing of customer designed parts/components

•

Calculate dimensions and tolerance

•

Review and modify designs to reduce production deficiencies

•

Provide timely updates for drawing completion and workload

•

Coordinate with other colleagues regarding complex diagrams

•

Maintain an environment of human dignity and ethical behavior with our associates, customers, and suppliers

•

Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, materials, and other physical science for maintaining or increasing production levels while improving production costs, yields, quality, and safety.

•

Plan test trials to determine performance capabilities

•

Use Auto CAD, Solidworks, Draftsight and additional drawing software

•

Work with customers and/or engineers to clarify drawings and improve product for ease of manufacturing.

•

Nest parts, as required using NCell software.

•

Interfaces with all levels of management and associates to gather information and provide guidance for implementation

Qualifications

•

Previous experience in mechanical drafting, manufacturing or other related fields

•

Capable in blueprint reading and interpretation

•

Familiarity with CAD or other related software

•

Deadline and detail-oriented

•

Strong mathematical skills

•

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook
