Summary

Performs preventative, corrective and special maintenance on systems, components and structural facilities to ensure unit reliability.Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Possesses three (3) years work experience in the mechanical craft, knowledge of and ability to adhere to APS and PVNGS standards and regulations.

ANSI 3.1 (1978) qualified.

Commercial Driver's License may be required for some positions.

Major Accountabilities

1) Troubleshoot, inspects and reworks a variety of valves, pumps and related equipment.

2) Performs maintenance in accordance with plant procedures and instructions.

3) Coordinates and works with other maintenance personnel and work groups to complete job assignments.

4) Documents work activities as required by station work control procedures.

5) Actively works at becoming qualified to work on all plant equipment and systems through on-the-job training and formal training programs.

6) Uses sound radiation work practices, supports the ALARA concept, performs and directs fire watches and other safety procedures.

7) Performs other related duties as required.

This position requires work to be performed in the field and/or at the work site, due to the nature of work.

Any PVGS employee may be called upon for random Fitness For Duty Testing (FFD) during scheduled working hours. Employees must report to FFD at Palo Verde as soon as reasonably practicable, but no more than 120 minutes after being notified. Employees who are onsite when notified will have no more than 60 minutes to report after being notified.
