Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have a backgroud of managing a small team effectivly and will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems in various vehicles and machinery. At least TWO years of management experience is required. This role requires a strong understanding of truck and equipment diagnostics and the ability to work with both heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Pay is based on level of experience.
- Manage the day to day work flow of a small team of skilled mechanics ensuring tasks are completed correctly and within a timely manner.
- Responsible for ordering and maintaining stock of necessary parts, tools, etc.
- Conduct thorough inspections on trucks, trailers and heavy equipment to identify issues with systems.
- Troubleshoot problems and provide effective solutions.
- Repair or replace parts using welding, soldering, or other techniques as required.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery safely while performing repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
- Ability to lead a team to ensure a strong, efficient working environment
- Proven experience in diesel truck and heavy machine engine repair and construction is essential.
- Must have experience with maintaining DOT records to ensure truck compliance
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
