Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced

to join our team. This role will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing our directional drilling equipment, tools, trucks, and trailers. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, a commercial driver’s license (CDL), and is willing to travel occasionally to support field crews.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on HDD rigs, mud systems, and related support equipment.

- Maintain and service trucks, trailers, and small engines used in daily operations.

- Perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate service records.

- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns in the field and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.

- Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies needed for repairs.

- Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed safely and in compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations.

- Support field crews with equipment setup, adjustments, and repairs as needed.

- Travel to project sites when required for urgent or on-site repairs.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a mechanic with heavy equipment, diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

- Knowledge of HDD equipment (Vermeer drills, mud systems, locators, etc.) preferred.

- CDL (Class A or B) required; clean driving record.

- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot under pressure.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

- Willingness to travel as needed (regional projects).
