Max Rieke & Brothers, Inc., a well-established excavating and grading company in Shawnee, Kansas, is currently seeking a Mechanic & Equipment Fueler to join our team. This is a union position—if you're not currently a member of Teamsters Local 541 Union, we will assist you with the enrollment process upon hiring.

Position Overview:

The Mechanic & Equipment Fueler plays a vital role in keeping our heavy equipment operational and ensuring smooth daily operations. You'll be responsible for fueling, minor mechanical repairs, and preventative maintenance on-site, supporting our crews in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Fuel and service heavy equipment at job sites

•

Perform basic mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance

•

Maintain equipment logs and service records

•

Communicate with field supervisors regarding equipment needs

•

Ensure all safety and environmental protocols are followed

•

Use smartphones or tablets for work orders, reporting, and communication

•

Work in dynamic outdoor environments and adapt to changing conditions

•

Assist mechanics and crews as needed

Qualifications:

•

CDL with Hazmat Endorsement required

•

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required

•

Experience in equipment fueling and maintenance

•

Must be a team player with a positive attitude

•

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

•

Must be adaptable to a fast-paced, changing environment

•

Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for basic tasks

•

Must pass a pre-employment drug screening & background check
