Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled
Measurement Technicianto join our team in Carlsbad, NM. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and calibrating measurement equipment, verifying site diagrams, and ensuring compliance with measurement standards and safety requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with measurement devices, field equipment, and flow diagrams, along with strong attention to detail and communication skills.
What You’ll Do
- Install, maintain, and calibrate measurement and communication equipment.
- Participate in orifice, ultrasonic, turbine, and Coriolis measurement activities following AGA standards.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and configure Fisher ROC and ABB gas measurement equipment.
- Verify engineering drawings (SFDs, LFDs, P&IDs, plot plans) against physical equipment in the field.
- Identify and document inconsistencies; communicate corrections/redlines to drafting teams.
- Support safety culture and adhere to environmental standards.
- 5 - 10 yrs of Experience
- Strong understanding of production equipment and process flow.
- Experience installing and maintaining measurement devices, including ABB Totalflow, Fisher ROC EFMs, Emerson 4088B, Coriolis Meters, Ultrasonic Meters, Turbine Meters
- Knowledge of piping and flow paths, field drawings, and instrumentation diagrams.
- Ability to calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain RTUs, transmitters, and flow equipment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to navigate oil and gas leases independently.
- Fit for duty in both hot and cold outdoor conditions.
- Preferred: Familiarity with BLM regulations, Muddy Boots Online (MBO), and schematic drawing software.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week, with overtime as required.
- Pay: $40/hour
