BayWa r.e. Americas’s Commercial team is seeking candidates currently pursuing an MBA degree. Candidates should have an outstanding record of academic achievement and a strong interest in contributing to an industry that is focused on improving the world.
Job Description
: The intern will support the Markets & Strategy team by analyzing market trends and helping develop company strategy. The main deliverable of the internship will be the Macro Strategy, a comprehensive deep-dive into select industry trends, their associated impacts, and a go-to-market strategy to adapt to and harness those trends for the benefit of the company. Previous key trends include green hydrogen, resource adequacy challenges and delayed thermal retirements, and large load growth (e.g. data centers). The final deliverable will be a presentation to BayWa r.e. Americas’ Executive Committee.

- Collect and synthesize policy data, market data, policy trends, and competitor intel
- Analyze gathered data and derive key insights
- Interview and gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare and present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders, including Executive Committee
- Candidates must be over the age of 21 and available to intern 40 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and must not require sponsorship for an employment visas.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required.
- The intern should be well organized, a self-starter, and able to multi-task. Ideal candidates will be able to complete projects from beginning to end with little oversight, i.e. set goals, complete stages on time, meet with necessary individuals, and keep the project on course.
- Must be comfortable building consensus across departments and have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Preference for candidates with demonstrated knowledge or interest in renewable energy and power markets.
