Qualifications

- Seeking a creative and self-motivated individual with good communication skills and willingness to work with people with a variety of backgrounds to support and develop materials for commercial applications.

- MS in Materials Science or Chemical Engineering.

- 1-3 years’ experience working in a research environment.

- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).

- Strong ability to analyze and solve problems.

- Strong interpersonal teamwork skills, yet able to perceive needs and work independently.

- Data-driven problem-solving approach, including root cause analysis

- Experience and knowledge of laboratory practices and testing various materials

- Physical ability to complete job duties, which may include standing for long periods, working in a space that lacks climate control, or lifting objects with an established maximum weight.

- Must be able to travel as needed

- Must be a US citizen

Responsibilities

- The Metallurgist & Chemical Engineer will report to the CTO and will be responsible for developing and scaling metallurgical processes related to the production and processing of soft magnetic powders.

- Develop and support the documentation and filing of intellectual property based upon novel concepts developed

- Stay informed of latest external technology developments related to soft magnetic materials and support senior leadership in developing strategies to address threats and opportunities

- ·Train and provide assistance and guidance to less experienced personnel related to materials properties and processing

- Track and continuously improve manufacturing processes through application of statistical methods and design of experiments

- Maintain a safe working environment by upholding current policies and procedures and contributing to the development of new standards as the company grows

- Perform all other duties as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
