Set-up operations refer to the processes involved in preparing machines, tools, and equipment for production runs, ensuring everything is properly configured for optimal performance and quality. Manufacturing Technicians play a key role in Federal’s ability to satisfy the needs of our cosmetic industry customers by performing these critical setup tasks. While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee is occasionally required to sit. He/she will regularly walk, talk and listen, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and reach above shoulders and he/she will frequently stand, use hands to finger, handle or touch, use foot/feet to operate machine and move from place to place. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
During the performance of his/her work duties, the incumbent will regularly lift up to 50 pounds and will frequently lift up to 25 pounds, such as removing materials from shipping containers.

The employee works in a manufacturing environment and is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and work in high places. He/she is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is loud.

Typical work hours may vary and the potential for overtime is possible and may be mandatory. Due to production requirements you may be required to work flexible hours or work on a different shift.
