Panel Processing Department Team Leader – Manufacturing | Spectrum Industries, Inc.
Spectrum Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-quality furniture and fixtures for educational and commercial environments, is seeking a dedicated and experienced team member to lead our Panel Processing Department. This department plays a key role in our CNC-driven manufacturing process.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a production environment, a strong understanding of quality standards, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities:
•Lead and support the daily operations of the Panel Processing Department, including CNC routers, edge banders, and related machinery
•Perform First Piece Article Inspections to verify compliance with specifications before releasing jobs to full production
•Use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers to verify accuracy of cuts and dimensions
•Interpret and apply blueprint reading skills to guide production and verify part accuracy
•Identify and troubleshoot basic machine issues (CNCs, routers, and edge banders), reporting more serious problems to the appropriate person when needed
•Ensure that all quality standards are consistently met throughout the production process
•Operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently
•Provide ongoing training and support to new and existing team members
•Communicate performance feedback and operational issues to the department manager
•Foster a positive and cooperative work environment that values team input and collaboration
•Perform and assist with general production duties within the department
•Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Three to five years of related manufacturing experience, preferably in a CNC-based environment
•Proven ability to read blueprints, perform inspections, and use standard measurement tools
•Experience with troubleshooting and machine operation
•Forklift certification or ability to become certified
•Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
