The Manufacturing Engineer will develop processes for safely producing high quality, cost-effective products. This position plays an important role in maintaining Federal Tool’s competitive edge, improving our ability to serve customers in diverse fields such as commercial and industrial power generation, commercial and residential food service, outdoor power equipment, indoor and outdoor LED lighting, medical applications, communication equipment, and vehicle lighting and steering, among others.

While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee is occasionally required to sit. He/she will regularly stand, walk, talk and listen, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and reach above shoulders and he/she will frequently stand, use hands to finger, handle or touch, use foot/feet to move from place to place to access all machinery in the facility. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
During the performance of his/her work duties, the incumbent will occasionally lift up to 25.

The employee works in a manufacturing environment and is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and work in high places. He/she is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is loud.

Typical work hours may vary and the potential for overtime is possible and may be mandatory. Due to production requirements you may be required to work flexible hours or work on a different shift.
