Job Overview

In this role the Manufacturing Engineer is expected to contribute new ideas, find innovative methods to accomplish company goals, and lead value creation by example.

This position will work alongside Operations, Quality, and Sales teams to improve and implement changes that increase operator's efficiency, support current products, and contribute to company growth by estimating new Request for Quote opportunities.

With this position comes the expectation of implementing a continuous improvement mindset- Star Engineering is looking for those who are striving to learn, own challenges, and lead well.

Qualifications

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (ME or MET), or equivalent technical degree or technical experience: Required

Experience CNC Machining 5 years: Required

Experience CNC Programming 5 years (milling and turning): Required

Metal Machining Experience Is Required.

Strong manufacturing knowledge of turning and milling ferrous, non-ferrous bar and castings.

Strong manufacturing knowledge of work-holding, quality inspection, and new technology being used in the manufacturing environment.

Proficient in CAD and CAM software (e.g. Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and other engineering design tools.

Proficient computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

This person will be responsible for supporting the Quality and Operations teams with respect to CNC machining current and new products. Engineering support may include but is not limited to:
