CEC Motor and Utility Services has an immediate full-time opportunity for an experienced Manual Machinist at our Service Center in Palmetto, FL.

Hours:

Monday - Friday (7 am - 3:30 pm)

Work Environment:

•

Work is primarily performed indoors in a climate-controlled shop.

Physical Demands:

•

Must be able to regularly move items weighing up to 50 pounds,

Reporting Relationships:

•

The Manual Machinist reports to the Motor Shop Manager.

Note: This position requires drug and background screening.

Compensation:

$25 - $35 hourly

Responsibilities:

•

Machine parts as required to the exact specifications

•

Perform milling operations such as drilling, tapping, and boring

•

Perform various metalizing techniques as needed

•

Fabricate and manufacture various parts

•

Follows all electrical safety rules

•

Keeps the facility clean and orderly

•

May be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting

•

Performs duties in a professional manner and works well with others or in a team setting

•

Regular attendance and adherence to the prescribed work schedule to conduct job responsibilities

•

Observes safe work practices and safety methods; performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

•

High school graduate or equivalent

•

Must be able to operate various manual lathes

•

Experience required, preferably 3-5 years

•

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and be able to stand/walk for extended periods
