This is a hybrid role, with the expectation to be onsite three days per week in either our Madison, WI or Cedar Rapids, IA office.
Job Summary
Manager Renewables Development provides project leadership to a cross-functional team engaged in development and origination of renewable projects. This position is responsible for contracting for the acquisition of projects, origination of customer solutions, and procurement of equipment to enable tax credits or mitigate long-lead risks associated with projects. This role frequently attends engagements with renewable partners and prospective customers interested in energy solutions.

•Directs the analysis of market trends impacting the customer cost of energy associated with the construction of power generating facilities, such as major technological advancements with equipment, electric and gas infrastructure changes, and commodity availability and pricing.
•Provides recommendations to mitigate risks, such as environmental and regulatory policy and regulation, community relationships, and key stakeholders.
•Engages customers in solutions that meet their changing business needs and informs senior management of the evolving development landscape.
•Ensures planning for permits from the various agencies that govern the development, construction, and operation of the company’s generation resources.
•Supports corporate project management best practices to help ensure development objectives adequately support overall project objectives to encourage successful execution of generation resource projects.
•Contributes to the development of integrated resource plans that seek value for customers by understanding technological, locational, and market implications of generation resource additions.
•Develops and supports testimony, expert witness activities, and other support of regulatory relations to ensure successful regulatory outcomes associated with new resource filings.
•Assumes lead roles to produce testimony, participate in hearings, meet with stakeholders, and promote the planning of new generation resource developments.
•Engages in other duties as needed that support our Values and help deliver on our Purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities.
Education Requirements
•Bachelor's Degree Emphasis in business administration, communications, engineering, finance, marketing, economics, or related area Preferred
Required Experience
•8 years of related experience in business development or renewable resource development or related area.
•3 years supervisory experience or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
•Demonstrated understanding of project management methods and application to managing work.
•Proven ability to work with consultants, contractors, vendors, and management to deliver goods and services in a timely and professional manner.
•Demonstrated financial skills such as budgeting and accounting.
•Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
•Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management).

Pay Range:
$135,000-$155,000
This position is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
