Job Summary
Job Summary: (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)
Manages the Real Time Power Operations area/dispatch. Develops work schedules for a combination of Power Operations staff and Traders. Balances staff workload ensures proper optimization of scheduling, and work coverage. Communicates with ISO/CA/RTO groups dealing with real-time and day-ahead dispatch issues. Informs staff of industry direction and changes. Identifies training needs and ensures that all staff are appropriately trained and certified based on Calpine and regulatory requirements. Resolves escalated issues in power operations.

•Regularly manages large-scale projects/activities or a very closely related set of projects/activities.
•Responsible for performance reviews, promotional decisions, and pay actions for support and professional levels.
Job Requirements
•Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; prefer Master’s Degree; Previous work leadership or senior level contributor experience; typically requires a minimum of 7 years’ experience in the energy sector with a minimum of 4 years’ experience related to processes in a combined cycle power plant or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
•NERC System Operator certification preferred.
