Summary/Objective Of Role
To oversee and manage the project services function across the Nevada projects and ensure adherence to established guidelines and standards. Project services functions include cost control, planning, scheduling, document control, and reporting. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project budgets, schedules, and progress reports in coordination with the EPCM contractor and the Owner’s team.
Role Accountabilities•Providing leadership and assistance to project teams executing their work and ensuring that project objectives are clearly articulated and understood.
•Providing input into the development of project controls plans, controls strategy & project information management plans.
•Reviewing and executing project work and ensuring deadlines are understood and adhered to.
•Working with the study and project managers to develop and amend the scope of work requirement (WBS), estimate and schedule.
•Assisting Project Management in integration of Scope, Cost and Schedule in line with AGA procedures.
•Assisting in determining priorities among project activities.
•Assisting Project Management in the CAPEX and OPEX integration. Provide inputs to the financial model (e.g CAPEX, OPEX, cash flow according to the project schedule)
•Participating in and contributing to project investment reviews during the project development stages.
•Embed best practices for capital and project management within the Nevada projects.
•Investigate project variances and discuss with project teams advising on solutions where required.
•Review and prepare project plans and documentation and identify potential study and execution risks.
•Work with the study and project teams to prepare project status reports on projects and identify early warning of potential deviations from project approved targets.
•Assist with the development and embedding best practices for capital and project management within the Nevada projects.
•Align and standardize data at a global portfolio level in order to enable portfolio measurement.
•Review, analyze and identify trends from monthly project reports.
•Assist in preparation of senior management and executive reports.
•Roll out project management software for use by project teams.
•Assisting with the governance of the Group’s project and capital management processes.
•Contribute to and monitor project execution plans for Nevada projects.
•Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with the study and project managers.
•Involve functional expertise and specialist staff in design reviews and key decisions.
•Work with the study and project managers to re-assess and amend the scope of work requirement, budget and timeline.
Technical Competencies

•Uses resources to optimize the project schedule, cost estimation, tracking and variance analysis.

Legal Requirements
•This role requires a valid driver’s license to drive company vehicle to and from the project site.
Required Education
•A degree qualification or equivalent in a relevant mining or engineering related discipline.
•PMP qualification or in process of attaining.
•Registration with an international project management association in either a project or program related category would be advantageous
Required General Knowledge & Experience
•Minimum ten (10) years’ demonstrated experience in the process and extractive industries.
•Minimum ten (10) years’ demonstrated experience in a project services position (Scheduling, Cost Control, Project Services, risk and change management) working in project study or execution teams, or within project governance and assurance teams within the mining industry.
•Must have large team member experience, preferably within an Owner’s team environment working with EPCM, construction and mining contractors.
•Demonstrated experience in participating in project investment reviews throughout the project development cycle.
•Understanding of internationally accepted best practice project management techniques and principles as applicable to extractive industries.
•Demonstrated experience in designing, governing, and maintaining capital management systems and processes.
•Demonstrated experience in working on projects located in North America, a plus.
Conditions Of Employment
This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday – Friday or as directed by the supervisor to include travel to and from the Beatty, Nevada site or other areas as needed. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. As per operational requirements.

Base Salary Range - $150,000- $190,000
