Manager, Gas Operations

Your role in our success:
Manages and oversees all activities to include engineering, inventory, and maintenance responsibilities for the safe, efficient, economical management of gas operations for their respective divisions.
What you'll be working on:
•Provides direction and coordination of gas distribution operations and maintenance functions for a large geographic region.
•Direct supervision of management of service, installation and maintenance, measurement, system operations, warehouse departments. Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and local codes and regulations.
•Works proactively to promote the company’s growth objectives; Participate in the development and implementation of strategic planning to assure that business objectives and goals are accomplished
•Oversees and administers the O&M Manual, Procedures Manual, Operator Qualification Plan, Hurricane Plan, Emergency Manual, etc. and assist with necessary revisions.
•Provide an oversight of specification of material, tools and equipment used by all gas divisions to ensure standardization. Negotiate contracts with vendors.
•Responsible for creation and adherence to operations budget for the division;
•Assists HR and Director of Operations with all union matters including negotiations of respective Union Agreements.
•Responsible for all management duties including hiring, coaching, promotion, discipline, termination, training and development.
•Performs all other duties as assigned by Director, Gas Operations
Who you are:
•7+ years of progressive natural gas operations experience including managing teams at all levels, both union and non-union; Bachelors degree preferred.
•Must have effective communication skills.
•Must be able to make safe and timely decisions and direct others
•Motivates and directs in a manner to achieve and support the company’s core values and the vision of the Gas Operations unit
•Proficient with computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows
•Strong analytical skills
•Be able to work a flexible schedule including emergency response and “On-Call” responsibilities on a regular basis
•Be proficient with computer database and spreadsheet applications
•Must have a valid Florida Driver’s license
