The Manager, Construction Operations is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across the EPC team. This position oversees/supports four critical verticals:
1. Prevailing Wage (PW) & Apprenticeship (PWA) Compliance
This cross-functional role will build scalable systems to ensure compliance, streamline operations, support contract execution, and drive successful project turnover. The ideal candidate combines strong regulatory knowledge, process-oriented thinking, and leadership skills to support the EPC team’s growth and efficiency.
- Lead the company’s PWA compliance program for all projects tied to federal and state incentives.
- Review certified payrolls, apprenticeship participation data, and subcontractor submissions for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain a centralized compliance tracker across all projects, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to financiers, government agencies, and partners to secure tax credit eligibility.
- Develop SOPs, dashboards, and training programs to embed a culture of compliance across EPC and field teams.
- Monitor regulatory updates (DOL, IRS guidance) and proactively implement necessary changes.
- Support EPC contract execution by coordinating redlines, exhibits, and SOVs with Legal and Project Management team.
- Assist in preparing subcontracts and vendor agreements, ensuring risk mitigation and adherence to company standards.
- Maintain contract documentation, version control, and deliverable tracking to ensure full compliance with client obligations.
- Collaborate closely with the Sr. Director of EPC to assess and enhance EPC workflows, implementing tools, systems, and best practices that boost efficiency and streamline communication across all teams.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders, including Engineering, Procurement, and Field Operations, to harmonize processes and proactively eliminate bottlenecks.
- Assist the Sr. Director of EPC in creating, maintaining, and improving SOPs, checklists, and reporting dashboards that standardize construction operations.
- Lead and promote continuous improvement initiatives aimed at driving scalability, operational excellence, and long-term success.
- Oversee the closeout process for EPC projects, ensuring all documentation (as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties) is delivered accurately and on time.
- Standardize closeout packages and maintain records to improve future project readiness and audit compliance.- 7+ years of construction operations, EPC, or compliance experience in solar, renewable energy, or related industries.
- Deep understanding of Prevailing Wage and Apprenticeship requirements (IRA, Davis-Bacon Act).
- Proven experience in contract administration, risk management, and document control.
- Track record of leading process improvement initiatives and implementing operational systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in construction management software, compliance tracking tools, and MS Office/Google Workspace.
