Your Impact
We are seeking an experienced
Manager, Accountingto lead our accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting. This role is a key partner to senior leadership, driving operational excellence, fostering team development, and safeguarding the organization’s financial integrity.
In this role, you will directly influence the accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of our financial information, supporting strategic decision-making across the business. Your leadership will inspire a high-performing accounting team, improve processes, ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and GAAP, and enhance operational efficiency within a complex, global manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop accounting staff, setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, shared services, Sarbanes Oxley compliance, and audit readiness.
- Oversee month-end close and variance analysis, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Partner with the Director, Accounting/Controller to prepare month-end close materials, internal financial statements, and operating data.
- Identify and implement process improvements, cost savings, and control enhancements.
- Provide financial insights, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver superior accounting support.
- Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Monitor financial data for irregularities and inconsistencies, ensuring the integrity of records.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- 6+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior financial role.- Strong knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley, GAAP, and FASB.
- At least 1 year in a people leadership role.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience in manufacturing and global operations.
- Proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP systems; skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with system conversions, ERP integrations, and process improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of sales/use taxes, foreign currency transactions, and payment processing (check, wire, ACH).
- General Ledger Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Variance Analysis.
- Internal Controls & Sarbanes Oxley Compliance.
- Financial Modeling and Data Analysis for Decision Support.
- Audit Preparation and Coordination (Internal & External).
