Marathon Petroleum Corporation’s (MPC) Galveston Bay Refinery currently has a vacancy for a Project Manager to manage projects in the Major Projects group of the Engineering Department.
The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting major projects ($100+ million per project) from early conceptual engineering through project completion. The Project Manager will report to the Major Projects Program Manager and act as the single point of contact controlling planning and execution of the project’s activities and resources to ensure that the established cost, time, and quality goals are met. The project manager will work with the stakeholders and a team of in-house and contract employees to define overall project scope, develop a cost estimate and schedule, and complete final project construction and closeout. Projects will range in size from $100 million to $1 billion and will include both Capital and Expense work.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, team-oriented individual. The position requires the ability to interface with numerous project teams, and additional departments outside of the Major Projects Group.
