- Plant troubleshooting and maintenance work order execution
- Mechanical maintenance, including preventative maintenance, and rebuilding and installation of mechanical equipment, installation of piping, etc
- Maintenance Program Management, including planning and scheduling of individually assigned plant maintenance, and minor third-party contracts for maintenance of non-mechanical equipment, such as instrumentation and control systems, building systems, and warehouse infrastructure
- Administrative tasks related to job duties, such as closing out work orders in the CMMS (eMaint), procedure development and updates, and risk assessment and MOC participation and documentation
- Minor facility maintenance, such as installation of whiteboards, signs, cabinets, and minor repairs and minor painting
- Miscellaneous tasks related to job duties, such as ordering parts and supplies, soliciting quotes, etc.
- Preserving mechanical integrity, executing a preventative maintenance program to prevent downtime, and reduction in the incidence of quality, safety, health and environmental incidents.
- Supports safe production by predicting maintenance activities that prevent incidents.
- Occasional travel to Calgary plant might be required for business need and support.
- Other duties, as required and assigned.
- Candidate must reside in: Edmonton, AB or the surrounding area.
- Work week: Monday to Friday, on site.
- This role requires individual to be clean shaven to comply with safety requirement
- This is a safety-sensitive position, and the successful candidate will be required to complete drug and alcohol testing.
- Salaried position, that is overtime eligible

- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Trade certification as an industrial mechanic.
- Previous experience using CMMS (e.g., eMaint).
- Good oral communication skills and ability to communicate and build relationships with coworkers.
- Strong troubleshooting and technical skill.
- Ability and motivation to work alone, and under tight timelines to accomplish goals and ongoing projects.
- Strong commitment to working safely, creating a safe workplace and following safety guidelines.
- Red Seal Millwright is preferred.
- ABSA 5th Class (or more advanced) Power Engineering Certificate preferred, or commitment to complete within 6 months of hire.
- Forklift, Aerial Work Platform, Fall Protection Certification.
- Working conditions: Working from heights, close to high voltage, high pressure in pumps and equipment, high decibel areas, extreme temperatures (hot and cold), and hazardous atmospheres.
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50lbs
