Maintenance Technicians are responsible for operations that include the installation, maintenance and repair of production equipment, facilities and environmental systems that are detrimental to the overall success of the company. The maintenance department works closely with the Team Leaders, Supervisors, Production Coordinators and Plant Manager to ensure equipment, facilities and other like systems are repaired and maintained in an effective, efficient manner.
Shift
1st Shift: Mon - Thurs 6:30am-5:00pm (Probable OT on Fridays)
Job Duties
•Perform basic Preventive Maintenance on a wide variety of Equipment, using maintenance requests, prints, diagrams and manuals.
•Troubleshoot, diagnose and perform maintenance or repairs on equipment, facilities and similar environmental systems.
•Train and Assist peers in the proper techniques and methods required to maintain a strong atmosphere of 6S.
•Install and maintain various machines and equipment using plant schematics, wiring diagrams, precision measuring tools and equipment manuals.
•Comply with required company and OSHA designated training, this includes but is not limited to, Lock out Tag out, Confined Space, Fall Protection and Hot Works.
•Promote an environment of Continuous Improvement to equipment, machines, facilities and Standard Operating Procedures.
•Demonstrate strong analytical skills in determining how to properly repair CNC machines, welders, saws, drill presses, brake presses and other like equipment.
•Advanced Members or the Team Leader may be required on occasion to contact vendors or Machine Technicians to diagnose and repair more sophisticated equipment such as: CNC Mills, Fiber Flat Lasers, Fiber Tube Lasers, Break Presses, etc.
Requirements
•Minimum 2 years’ experience in troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment and production machinery.
•Degree or Certifications in an Industrial Maintenance related field preferred.
•Background in Welding, Millworks, Fixture Fabrication, Machine Fabrication and other like skills preferred.
•Ability to perform listed ‘Job Duties’ independently or with minimal supervision.
•Effective communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Ability to work without hindrance despite various seasonal fluctuations such as temperature, humidity, dust, fumes, noise, etc.
•Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds consistently.
•Ability to continuously use hand in a coordinated effort to grasp, manipulate and adjust materials, parts and tools.
