Hours: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm
Position Summary:
Under direct supervision of the Facilities Planner/Coordinator, this position is responsible for preparing and distributing work orders, preventative maintenance orders and summaries of maintenance activities. Assists the Facilities Planner/Coordinator with management of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Essential Functions:
•Prepare and distribute work orders, preventive maintenance orders, and summary of maintenance activities.
•Assist the Facilities Planner/Coordinator with the use of the CMMS for planning and reporting on all maintenance activity.
•Maintain the Safety & Support Services Help Desk, including applicable/appropriate documentation in CMMS.
•Perform site cleanliness/custodial inspections and report on findings/trends.
•Coordinate and support meetings and meeting room setups.
•Maintain the Charleston Water System Parking and Parking Permit accountability program and the St. Philip Street pool vehicle database.
•Assist with preparing and processing invoices, accounts payable, requisitions/purchase orders, variances, etc. as necessary.
•May be required to work during emergency conditions.
•Regular attendance is required.
•Job performance must conform to all CWS policies and procedures.
•Specific knowledge of CWS Environmental Management System Policy and Procedures.

Job Requirements
Physical Requirements, Activities, and Working Conditions
•Frequently positions self to exert up to 20 lbs. of force and 50 lbs. occasionally to lift and transport objects. Objects greater than 50 lbs. require a two-person operation.
•Frequently positions self to maneuver as needed to perform job duties at facility sites.
•Ability to ascend / descend ladders or steps to evaluate or inspect equipment and facilities.
•Ability to make fine discriminations in sound, i.e. HVAC systems, electric motors, etc.
•Ability to understand and execute complex written and oral instructions.
•Ability to observe and comprehend computer screens and reports for understanding and action.
•Ability to reach, pull, handle documents as required to maintain an up-to-date filing system.
•Must be able to wear Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) as defined in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to perform the required essential functions.
Education and/or Experience
•High school diploma or GED preferred.
•Three (3) years experience in an industrial, maintenance or inventory setting desirable.
•Ability to operate a personal computer and efficiently use Microsoft Office programs to include Word and Excel.
•Experience with computerized maintenance management systems preferred.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of associates, guests, vendors, and staff
•Ability to work independently of others.
•Prior work record indicating dependability and conscientiousness.
Licenses, Certifications, Registrations
•Valid South Carolina Driver’s License required
Training Needs:
•OSHA and Departmental safety training as required.
•Standard Operating Instruction (SOI) per department requirements.
•ISO 14001 standards for department and company.
