# Job Description: Are You a BilingualJunior Mine Surveyor
Location: Northern Quebec Position Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Career Opportunity
We are seeking a Junior Mine Surveyor to join our team on a long-term project in Northern Quebec. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who have completed their education in mine surveying (or a related field) and gained at least one year of practical experience. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of senior surveyors and engineers, supporting ongoing mine development while building the skills needed for a long-term career in the mining industry.
- Assist with field surveys to support mine planning, construction, and operations.
- Operate and maintain surveying equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS units, laser scanners).
- Collect, process, and validate survey data accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with updating mine plans, maps, and databases.
- Support volume calculations, boundary checks, and grade control tasks.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, geologists, and operations teams to ensure accurate survey information is available.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental protocols at all times.
- Diploma or degree in Mine Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of practical survey experience (mine, construction, or civil environment).
- Basic knowledge of survey equipment and software (AutoCAD, MineSight, Surpac, or equivalent).
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in challenging northern conditions.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Assets (Not Required but an Advantage)
- Previous experience in a mining or remote work environment.
- Familiarity with drones/UAVs for surveying.
- French and/or English communication skills.
