Tundra has an opportunity for a Surface Maintenance Student for the summer of 2026 (May–August) based out of the Virden, Manitoba office.
Depending on your experience and education, duties may include:
- Control system programming
- Data entry and gathering
- Fire or confined space watch
- Drafting, including redlines
- Arc flash study data gathering
- Research and development projects
- Running parts to the field for others
- Wireless system troubleshooting and repair
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be enrolled in a post-secondary program (preferably second year or higher)
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Basic electrical theory knowledge
- Familiarity with MS Office products
- Basic networking knowledge
- Mechanical aptitude and mathematical ability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent judgment and safety awareness
- Physical ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 kg or more
- Ability to work safely, recognize potential hazards, and adhere to Tundra’s Safety and Loss Control Program and policies
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships internally and externally
- This is a safety-sensitive position and requires pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Primarily office-based with potential for some field work
